Digital signage appliance for infotainment in HD

IAdea Deutschland GmbH sets further accents

Schwentinental, 27.08.2017 - Posters and printed signs of any kind are old-fashioned. With digital signage, digitization is providing a disruptive upheaval in this area as well, combined with the endless benefits of web technology. Whether classic display boards, information signs or other signage of any shape and size, digital signage offers added value with direct target group appeal and this across almost every industry: presentation areas in airports, train stations, shopping malls, point of interest, menu boards in the hospitality industry, signposts in hotels, point of sale in retail, infotainment in sports bars or even in any company for meeting notices to interactive product presentation for visitors etc.

IAdea Germany offers a solution for almost every application. This is because IAdea's players can be combined with some of the most modern content management systems. With HTML5, the whole world and variety of the WWW can be presented and combined with your own information.

The XMP-6250 delivers hardware HD video playback for smooth 1080p video and advanced onboard processing power for stunning HTML5 playback. The XMP-6250 does not have any fans, so it does not disturb potential streams with its own noise. However, the XMP-6250 still remains cool even during continuous operation as it has a built-in self-healing mechanism that ensures its functionality regardless of the environmental conditions. In addition, the IAdea digital signage appliance includes a micro SD port that is expandable up to 32 GBytes for longer presentations.

IAdea's CMS "SignApps Express", which is already included with the players, covers most of the content provision. In most cases, the company's own content management systems can also be integrated without much effort. Those who have special cases or very specific requirements can also fall back on IAdea's partner network. Björn Christiansen, Managing Director of IAdea Germany comments: "We work with some of the best in the industry who have developed native apps for our players. These enterprise-level CMSs provide device management, proof of active playback ("proof-of-play"), design functionality, and other advanced features that enterprises and service providers need for their own projects."

Setting up the latest XMP-6250 HD player is a snap, Christiansen said. "Connect power, network and HDMI, and you're ready to go."

Like all IAdea media players, the XMP-6250 supports advanced HTML5 playback. "We use the same rendering engine that is built into Google Chrome, WebKit. This enables rendering of JavaScript, CSS, SMIL and W3C widgets. HTML5 developers can thus create great, real-time interactive content that plays either offline using the W3C widget format or online with direct connections to the Internet. Our players include a strong cache feature that allows most online HTML5 content to continue playing even if the network goes down," explains IAdea CEO Björn Christiansen.
