The system is operated by a powerful, battery-powered mini-computer. The use and handling of the merchandise separators does not change - only the changing of the advertising media is omitted.
The battery-operated article separators are automatically placed on the checkout belt by the customer. During the waiting process, customers are presented with interesting headlines, weather data and sports results, for example, accompanied by advertising messages depending on the time of day.
The checkout staff places the article divider back on the rail. There, the battery of the article divider is charged. During the charging process, the digital displays are facing the customer.
